Is The Orchard perfect for you?

If the sight of kids playing in the street is your happy-place, welcome home. The Orchard is definitely one of the most sought-after family neighbourhoods in Burlington. Residents know their neighbours by name and stop to say hello in a non-annoying-Ned-Flanders sort of way. People just love it here.

Buyers looking for a newer home (built post 1998), in a safe and child friendly neighbourhood are definitely going to want to consider The Orchard. Many of the homes you find in this area are 2-storey detached properties, with some even boasting big backyards or backing onto a ravine space. That being said, large yards are not the norm and that’s why you have so much street and sidewalk play in The Orchard.

In addition to the larger detached homes, there are also smaller versions, going down to a model that is only 1200 square feet, but so well laid out you will barely notice its lack of space. There are also some semi-detached, link and freehold townhomes in this neighbourhood, allowing for buyers with a variety of budgets to purchase in the area. You can find some upscale condominium townhomes on Orchard Road, as well as 2 newer condominium apartment buildings at Sutton and Upper Middle.

Commuters will appreciate the fact that the Orchard is a few quick minutes from the 403, the 407 and the Appleby GO Station, while parents of elementary aged children love the fact that they can walk their kids to school, with 5 of Burlington’s best located right in the heart of the neighbourhood.
