Driving to Toronto from Longmoor takes approximately 35 minutes. However, during rush hour the time you spend in the car could increase to approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. Using the Appleby GO Station is a huge benefit to local residents and gives commuters a consistent travel time to Union Station of 44 minutes. Longmoor is also situated close to the QEW.

Compared to its neighbour south of New Street (Shoreacres), Longmoor is a modest area. Homes are generally smaller, lots are a little narrower, and are trees a bit shorter. That said, anyone would be lucky to live here. Detached homes are predominant in the area and come in the following styles: raised ranches, backsplits, sidesplits and bungalows. The lots the homes sit on are private, treed and would accommodate a pool.
